What to Expect
Prepare for the ultimate mix of thrill and tranquillity with
our 4-hour Tangalooma Snorkel Tour. Departing from Breakfast Creek in Newstead,
this guided jet ski adventure takes you across the shimmering expanse of Moreton
Bay to the world-famous Tangalooma Wrecks—a breathtaking underwater playground
teeming with life.
Along the way, we’ll make a pit stop at Mud Island to rest,
hydrate, and check in with your guide before continuing toward the wrecks. The
ride offers exhilarating open-water runs and unforgettable coastal views before
you arrive at one of Queensland’s most spectacular marine sanctuaries.
The Experience
Once anchored at Tangalooma, gear up for a guided snorkel
through the cluster of historic shipwrecks. Here, the remains of fifteen sunken
vessels have transformed into a vibrant artificial reef alive with coral and
marine species.
Swim among schools of tropical fish, spot turtles, dugongs,
and dolphins, and watch for rays gliding along the sandy seabed. Between July
and September, you might even glimpse humpback whales breaching offshore.
After your snorkel, relax on the beach with a light meal of
a fresh wrap and a cup of fruit, take in the sun, and unwind before the return
trip to Brisbane. The ride back across the bay is smooth, scenic, and
unforgettable.
